With its ultra-compact five-cylinder turbocharged engine boasting 335bhp, the spectacular new RS version of the Audio TT appears to be the mightiest TT ever.
This all-new 2.5 liter TFSI unit has been inspired by the Quattro—Audi's legendary Eighties rally car. But easily surpassing the original Quattro, the TT RS makes 332lb ft of torque between 1600 and 5300rpm and a potential top speed of 174mph and 0-62mph in 4.6 seconds. The Audio TT RS, like all "RS" models, is only available with the Quattro four-wheel drive system. To handle the increased torque, the Quattro system had to be upgraded with a constant velocity joint before the propeller shaft and a rear-axle differential and Audi had to borrow the six-speed box from the Volkswagen Transporter.
With these new and very impressive features, the long-awaited Audio TT RS has easily made itself a favorite of most car enthusiasts.

The RS's mix of direct injection and turbocharging is not only good for speed. It's also good for efficiency. It has the best fuel economy with an average consumption of 30.7mpg and the least carbon dioxide emission of just 214g/km.
Even with its very powerful engine, the Audi TT RS does not fall short in stylishness. Considered the hottest TT ever, the RS may even sell on its looks alone. 13.78 feet in length, it hints a glimpse of power from the first glimpse. The front spoiler evokes an image of a racing car as it narrows downward into a splitter. Any faraway driver would be alerted by an approaching Audi TT RS with its LED daytime running headlights. Large wheels and exterior-mirror castings accentuate the sides of the Audi TT RS. At the tail end, a diffuse insert bearing the TT RS badge encircles the two oval tailpipes. The Audi TT RS fans would enjoy choosing from its eight available colors among which are four exclusive ones including Daytona Gray, Mugello Blue, Sepang Blue, and Suzuka Gray.
The Audi TT RS's elegant interior certainly matches its dynamic exterior. The thick-rimmed and flat-bottomed sports steering wheel is covered with leather. A driver information system installed in the instrument panel displays both boost pressure and oil temperature. The door handles have the typical slim strip design of all Audi RS models. The entire interior of the TT RS is black, with sports seats clad in Silk Nappa leather with silver contrasting stitching. Badges and logos sprout on the steering wheel, in the rev counter, and on the door sill trims.
Another great highlight of the Audi TT RS is its sound. Its fans just love the adorable off-beat warble it gives off which sounds just like the original Quattro but superiorly smooth. Alternately, there's a sport button which sharpens steering response and opens up baffles in the exhausts, causing more bass at low-speed and metallic zing at high revs.
The Audi TT RS is not simply a fashion icon OR a speed icon. It's both. With its tremendous beauty and power, fans would definitely want to "fire up this Quattro".
